Building four new patient floors above an existing occupied six-story patient tower presented the construction team with a number of challenges. Bouten developed detailed site logistic plans, conducted weekly planning meetings, and implemented a rigorous safety program—all focused on minimizing impact to the medical center’s patients, staff, and visitors. The project was delivered one month early and three percent below budget.
