As Liberty Lake’s first progressive design-build project, the Trailhead Golf Course Clubhouse stands as a testament to successful collaboration. From the very beginning, Bouten and the architect worked in unison to provide robust phase 1 and phase 2 services that ensured the project’s ultimate success, from teaming to meeting budget and schedule expectations. Early community engagement informed three key principles—prominence, functionality, and indoor/outdoor connectivity—that guided the team’s efforts throughout the process. Together, we transformed the deteriorating existing building into an award-winning landmark with panoramic mountain views, integrating essential public spaces and amenities. This cohesive design-build approach not only exceeded the city’s expectations, but also delivered a community hub that embodies the spirit of the vibrant Liberty Lake community.
